11 Ways To Wear Lime

Add a Wedge of Lime

They say a great outfit starts from the bottom up, so slip your feet into something a little bit courageous, like these Lime Wedge Sandals by Diego di Lucca ($139 at Zappos.com). Worn with a casual cotton warm-weather dress or skirt, these sandals can boost your height and mood.

Make Time for Lime

For just a hint of citrus, choose a small but distinctive accessory with fun lime detailing, like this Marc by Marc Jacobs Bloom Pendant Watch ($175 at Zappos.com). This accessory has charmed us with its sweet daisy shape and delicate gold accents. This unique piece really adds originality to any outfit. And as a bonus, you’ll be fashionably early for all of your appointments.

Make a Splash at the Pool

Nothing says refreshing like this Halter Bikini ($16.50 at OldNavy.com) in electric lime green. The bright hue is flattering on any skin tone. Plus, who can’t use some flattery when it comes to swimsuits? To keep the look mature, pair it with calmer accessories like gold-rimmed aviator shades and a straw beach bag. On the beach or by the pool, you’ll look stylish, sultry and ready to make a splash.

Try a Juicy Wrap

Another affordable way to squeeze some lime into your wardrobe is with a lightweight piece, like this Open-Weave Scarf ($10 at OldNavy.com). This “key lime” piece puts the perfect juicy touch on an otherwise casual garment, like a white T-shirt, denim skirt or light jacket. A scarf like this packs a big style punch, so tone down the rest of your look by going very minimal on other accessories.

Mix It with Florals

For a dainty, girly approach to the lime trend, try blending the color with another trend favorite, sweet, fresh florals. Wear this Ninety Tiered Shadow Floral Tank ($23.99 at Overstock.com) with a cute pair of sandals and skinny denim for a clean look that’s demurely dazzling.

Kick Back Confidently

Shake things up with a slightly offbeat pair of kicks. Converse Sneakers ($45 at Delias.com) in a shade of lime are perfect for those on-the-go days—they’re comfortable, cute and not kitschy. Warning: Keep the rest of your outfit understated (think, a great pair of dark denim jeans) to avoid looking juvenile.

Brace Yourself

A fun accessory, like this Aldo Weisgarber Bracelet ($10 at AldoShoes.com) in a refreshing lime shade, upgrades any outfit for a party. For starters, try glamming up your favorite LBD with this chunky, flirty find.

Carry a Bold Tote

A signature handbag in a bright, confident color might be the single best style investment of the season. Worn with every outfit and for any occasion, a bold bag raises the bar to any ensemble. Invest wisely in a practical, roomy tote, like this Kenneth Cole Sportser Tote ($92 at Zappos.com) to take you from errands to the office to a night out. It will always be happy hour when you’re carrying this fun, functional piece.

Love the Skin You Are In

Take a walk on the wild side by pairing python and lime green. Spotted on the bodies of Hollywood A-listers, snakeskin-print accessories are a definite trend this season. And, the lime green infused on Me Too’s casual Snake Sandals ($68.95 at Zappos.com) just ups its fun factor. Tread lightly: Bright green and animal prints worn together has the potential to overwhelm eyes, so steer towards classy, sexy pieces and wear them with neutral tones, like khaki, white or beige.

Upgrade a Classic

For a twist of lime that’s a little bit preppy, invest in a classic like this Long Placket Stretch Polo Shirt ($85 at RalphLauren.com). Suitable for the office or weekend wear, this closet staple makes a great statement. Worn with ultra-fresh white denim and gold accessories, you’ll dominate any room you enter.

Self-Promote at the Workplace

Lime green at the office? Oh yes, you can—especially in the form of this smart and sophisticated Pilar Tunic Dress ($138 at LillyPulitzer.com). The fresh lime color puts a stylish slant on otherwise typical career-wear staple. To ensure your look is adult and appropriate, accessorize with classic heels and a handbag in neutral tones, and carry a cream or white sweater as a cover-up. The result is a polished and pulled-together look that will have your colleagues stand up and take notice.

Up Your WOW Factor

Perk Up with Purple

Never underestimate a great button-up sweater, like this one from Old Navy. At $26.50 from OldNavy.com, it’s the perfect add-on for a breezy summer night or an air-conditioned office. Its lively purple hue gives some kick to an ensemble. Just pair it with fresh whites or a patterned dress, and you immediately elevate your look. Lightweight pointelle and small buttons give this cardigan a touch of innocence, which is why we love that its powerful color packs a fruity punch.

Tote Around in Turquoise

If you only buy one bag this summer, make it a practical tote in a tropical tone like turquoise. Turquoise complements any skin tone and stands out sensationally when paired with black, white, and all creamy neutrals. This Canvas Tote ($34.50 at Gap.com) with plenty of deep pockets is a smart pick; it’s handy, and it makes any outfit sing.

Sunkissed and Chic

Trendy sunglasses are a great way to celebrate the season, so why not do so in a fun melon or sunburnt orange hue? Sunkissed and chic, these Orange Shades by Michael Kors ($84 at Zappos.com) are beach-chic but can also enhance a basic outfit like your beloved denim jacket and a crisp white skirt. An aviator frame, shown here, works well with all face shapes and will add to the versatility of your shades.

Lemony Lift

You know that old beloved simple black or netural dress hanging in your closet? Give it a lemony lift by tying a cheerful yellow belt, like the Sour Lemon Belt ($48 at JCrew.com) around the waist. It’s an eye-grabbing look that will attract lots of wanted attention, and because it's designed to fit low-rise waistbands, the belt can also lighten up any pair of jeans or pants. Belts are in ingenious way of making old clothes look new and trendy, so grab several bright ones and put a fresh face on all of your favorite clothes. This style is a cinch!

Delightful Denim

Colored jeans may not be for the timid, which is why a electric blue pair are a great way to road-test this hit-or-miss trend. Bold blue is eye-grabbing yet sleek, so pair with a sophisticated top and some sexy heels. You’ll stand out in the crowd. Luckily, Delia’s Morgan Skinny Jeans ($48 at Delias.com) come in other sensational colors, like sunny marigold and candy violet.

Flirt with Fuchsia

Another great “tip” is to play with fun, funky nail colors on your hands and feet. Sure, it can be cutesy, but when and where better to experiment with offbeat nail shades than during the warm weather months, when your toes are exposed and your hands could use a pre-vacation pick-me-up. Try Essie’s 2009 neon collection ($8 each at Essie.com), which includes such fun shades as Punchy Pink (shown), Flirty Fuchsia, Funky Limelight , and Perky Purple. The point here is to show off your fun side; as founder Essie Weingarten, says “These colors make a statement and have personality!”

Watch Wonderful

It’s all in the wrist: for great way to work a variety of brights into your wardrobe, purchase a single watch, like Aldo's Adjust-Strap Watch ($35 at AldoShoes.com) with a rainbow of colorful adjustable wristbands. This one-time buy essentially creates five eye-grabbing watches—and you can alternate bands according to outfit or mood year-round. We love Aldo’s affordable version because it includes a dazzling white strap, too—for days when you want to wear your bold colors head-to-toe and keep accessories simpler.

Flashy Flip-Flops

Look head-to-toe hot this season by purchasing a colorful pair of sandals, like the Printed Flip-Flop ($15.50 at VictoriasSecret.com). They put an instant pop to any jeans, shorts, or skirt outfit and are comfortable on the street and at the beach. Choose a color you love. And at under $20, you may even want to pick up multiple pairs. Standing on your feet never looked so sweet!

Cute Carryalls

“Lighten” your load with a pale yellow carryall bag in a durable material, like super lush leather. A brightly colored bag looks great on your arm at the office or out to dinner — and if you splurge on a great bag in a color you love, it can last season after season. This Parker Leather Satchel ($458 at Coach.com) has minimal hardware and twist-braided handles, giving it a little bit of edge and a whole lot of practicality.

Freshen Your Face

For an effortlessly sexy update that anyone can pull off in seconds, freshen your entire face with a bright pop of shimmering color on your lips. We love a hot pink or berry-stained pucker; be sure to contrast it with a bare or neutral face and a subtle outfit. For a dramatic evening look, pair your luscious bold lips with your favorite LBD. One ultra-nourishing choice is Physicians Formula’s organic SuperFruit Glosses ($7.95 at PhysiciansFormula.com), which are naturally derived and infused with vitamins and anti-oxidants.

True Love

Guys and Stars

I believe every girl have their own crush. Perhaps, you already have one. If you already find your hearts don’t let it go. Try to be the best girl friend ever. You’re beautiful, you got style, you’re mature, you’re got brain and most of all, and you got his heart! Listen to your heart. Don’t just flirt with just any guy, coz that’s what bitches always do. You’re different, you’re like a diamond with the label ‘you can see but you can’t touch!’ type of girls. You’re the girl that every guy would die for just to gain your attention. Don’t cheat on him if you don’t want to be cheated. Don’t lie to him if you don’t want him lie to you. Don’t ever let go your true love once you have it, because I’m afraid that there’s no second chance. Love from a guy who respects you, who put you as high as he can in his list, which will never doubt you, who gave all his trust to you, who trying so hard to not hurt you, are something that you should discover yourself. As I am, I already have him in my life and I couldn’t ask for more.
